I am a granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt,girlfriend, student, worker, teacher, photographer, friend, life long learner
What is my cultural background?
I am half dutch and half Irish. If you ain't dutch you ain't much I have always been told. I get my temper from my Irish side.
What family traditions regarding play have been passed down?
I would always play many different games with my grandpa Cody. Cards and Dice were the two games that were always my favorite. Dice is something that we would all play as a family when I was younger with my grandpa and grandma Cody.
What family Christmas traditions have been passed down from one generation to the next?
At Christmas time we have Christmas with my mom's side of the family on the 23rd. On Christmas Eve we have dinner and open presents. When I was younger on Christmas me, my brother and sister would all go bowling because we would have nothing else to do; we don't do that anymore.
What family traditions have been about the high school years…....
Working was a big part of high school. Me, my brother and sister all worked through out high school.
What family traditions have been passed down from one generation to the next in the are of marriage and family?
We all believe in opposite sex marriage. We don't think that divorce is right.
What other unique family traditions have been passed down?
My grandpa Cody and my dad and my brother are all truck drivers and also have the same name. I do think that my brothers son will become a trucker. I do not plan on becoming one. The name John is something that has been passed down but my brother did not name his son that. Hard work is something that has been passed down to my whole family. We all know that we have to work hard for what we want.
